Rider info for the 2014 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross Nationals

Dear Riders-

Welcome to the 2014 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships at the Valmont Bike Park in Boulder, CO. Below are some housekeeping notes from the race administration.

All riders must have a 2014 USA Cycling annual license to compete in any championship race at the Cyclo-cross National Championships. You can purchase or renew your license now through your My USA Cycling account.

Communiques 1 & 2 from the officials have been posted to the event communique page. Communique 1 deals with the UCI's recent statement on "Stop & Go". Communique 2 deals with the changes to the Juniors 14 & under cut offs.

Call up and start lists will be posted to www.usacycling.org/2014-CX-call-up-lists.htm

On-site registration and packet pick-up will open on Tuesday, January 7 at Gebhardt Volkswagen. Their address is 2470 49th St, Boulder, CO, 80301. There is no day-of registration. Riders should be prepared to provide proof of a valid 2014 license. Visit the schedule of events for more information on onsite registration and packet pick-up.

On-site parking will be limited, so we ask that you please carpool or, even better, ride your bike over to Valmont Bike Park. Event parking is hosted by Kidder+ Real Estate and is located just north of Valmont Bike Park. It is roughly a five minute walk to the venue. No overnight parking or camping is allowed in the event parking lot.

Number placement for this week should be as follows: 2 shoulder numbers and then a large number on your LEFT side. Please note that bib numbers for the week are color coated, as to make it easier for everyone to know who they are racing against. Please review the table below for which color you're wearing for which race.

Parents and Junior riders! Be sure to stop by the awards tent on Thursday, January 9, at 1:30-3:30 p.m. for the College Recruitment Fair. You will have the opportunity to talk with collegiate cycling program directors and team leaders from 11 different schools across the country! For more details and a list of schools attending, check out page 15 in the Technical Guide.
