Powers, Bruno-Roy top 2009/2010 Cross standings
The final four events on the 2009/2010 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Racing Calendar were held last weekend: two NBX Grand Prix of CX races in Warwick, R.I. and two USGP of Cyclocross Portland Cup races in Portland, Ore.
In Warwick, Dan Timmerman (Clay, N.Y./Richard Sachs - RGM Watches ) and Mary McConneloug (Chilmark, Mass./Kenda-Seven) claimed the men's and women's wins on both days. For complete results from the NBX Grand Prix of CX, click here.
Katerina Nash (Luna Chix/CZE) dominated the women's field in the USGP of Cyclocross Portland Cup, also grabbing a pair of victories, while Todd Wells (Durango, Colo./Specialized) won the first men's race and Jeremy Powers (Hadley, Mass./Cannondale-Cyclocross World) collected the win on day two. As the 2009/2010 USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Calendar is now officially in the books, Jeremy Powers and Maureen Bruno-Roy (Arlington, Mass./M&M Racing/Seven Cycles) ended up on top of the elite men's and women's categories 494 and 258 points respectively.
The standings are as follows:
