USAC Regional Development Road Selection Camp

USA Cycling Regional Talent ID Camps are for athletes racing age 14 to 22 years of age and who are at least 14 years old at the start of the camp. The attendees should have some racing experience. See below for specific requirements.

The primary goal of the Talent ID Camp is to recognize athletes who, at an early age, show signs of potential future success in cycling. Receiving instruction from some of USA Cycling’s finest coaches, the camps also provide the necessary framework to improve the athletes skill set thus progressing their talent development. In some cases, the Regional Talent ID Camps assist in selecting riders for international competition and/or a national development camp.

In 2015 USA Cycling will once again be conducting a Tour de l’Abitibi Selection Camp from June 13-18 in Flagstaff, Arizona. The camp is open to junior males racing age 17-18. Participants must hold a USAC racing license cat 3 or above at the time of the camp. A team of 6 riders will be selected from the camp to participate in the 2015 Tour de l’Abitibi. The select team will have their team entry paid by USAC. Additional cost such as, but not limited to airfare, vehicle rental and staff compensation will be the responsibility of the selected riders. If participation warrants, a second team may be selected although no financial compensation will be provided by USAC. The camp will be limited to 24 riders.

For more info contact Barney King at barneykcoaching@aol.com or by phone at 602-410-4358.
In addition, if selected to participate, riders will need a UCI International Racing License as well as a passport in order to compete.
It should be noted, this is not a National Team Selection.  If you would like to speak directly feel free to contact Barney King at 602-4120-4358
