Tribbey Cinco de Mayo Omnium

Held under Usa Cycling event permit number 2012-489. All USAC rules apply, race held rain or shine
Race Description: Combing this year the historic Tribbey Time Trial with a Road Race to follow in the afternoon, should provide riders the early season challenge they have been waiting all winter for. The TT course is as it has always been, hilly and demanding. The new Road Race encompasses portions of the infamous 89er Stage Race and is guaranteed to provide the riders with the feel of that race with a shorter but still demanding course. The race will be scored on points with points from the TT added to points earned in the RR. Overall highest points winners will be eligible for the prize list. Larry Smith of the Bicycle Shoppe once again is offering a 2000.00 plus incentive for the lowest time under an hour in the Time Trial. No one has ever broken the hour on this demanding course.This is an open event with no regard to gender or age in the road race or overall scoring. Riders may ride in the categories they are eligible to ride in. There will be neutral mechanical support and a rolling enclosure with lead sheriff and moto support. Medical support will be on call.
Registration: All racers are encouraged to pre-register online @ USACycling.org by Midnight, Thursday, May 3, 2012. Any person wanting to register the day of will pay an additional $10.00 for doing so. Riders can race the Omnium (both the RR and TT) or they can race the TT. There is no requirement to ride both, but you must ride the TT to enter the RR. Entry fee for the Omnium event is $40.00 which is non refundable. Should you elect to ride the TT only the entry fee will be 20.00 and you will register the day of (no late entry fee). On site registration will open @ 8:00am and the 1st rider off will start @ 9:00am. Rider start will be in order of online registration followed by day of registration. A portion of the entry fee will go to USAC for insurance and online registration and BRAOK support. One day licenses will be available on-line or day-of-race.
Note: Omnium Registration will automatically enter you in both the Road Race and the Time Trial.
