AL State TT Championship and National Senior Games Qualifier
AL State TT. This is the first year this race will serve as a qualifying event for the National Senior Games. The Games will be in Birmingham in 2017.
There are four different course options this year, with two serving the 5 and 10K qualifying distance for Senior Games, and the other serving as the USA Cycling State Championship distance. The courses are the same as years past, and are rolling courses.
Pre-registration only event.
Start times will be emailed to all participants, and posted on the event Facebook page on Friday morning. Start order for this year will be based on the distances as follows: 5K, 10K, 13.8 miles, and 23 miles. Merckx category requires a mass start legal bike, and cannot utilize any of the following equipment: aerobars, disc wheel, rim depth deeper than 44 mm, aero helmet, and shoe covers. Junior gear restrictions are in effect, and juniors will be required to roll out immediately after their run is completed. Riders who enter multiple categories will make two runs. We will do our best to accommodate riders to give them a break between start times, but it is not always possible.
