Do you enjoy bike racing? Do you want to contribute or give back to the sport? Become a licensed USA Cycling Official! The traditional method for becoming a licensed Official is to attend a local clinic which covers the basics of how to become an official, what role officials play in the sport, what duties officials perform, and what rules are important for a new official to understand.
This online course utilizes the same materials presented at the local clinics, but does it online - allowing you to become an official at any time.
In this course you will be provided with a presentation file, a link to the USA Cycling Rule Book, and a link to the Official's License Application. There will also be a link to an online exam that must be passed before becoming an official. The exam is an open-book test, meaning you are free to utilize the presentation file and rule book while you are completing the exam.

We all have a role to play in creating a healthy setting for sport. SafeSport helps raise awareness about misconduct in sport, promote open dialogue, and provide training and resources. When we work as a team, we can build a game plan to make sport safe - for everyone.
SafeSport offers training regarding misconduct in sport and the measures we can all take to protect athletes. Learning about the six types of misconduct is an important step to recognize, reduce and respond effectively to inappropriate and potentially harmful behavior.
Our SafeSport program's intent is to provide information and resources so that all members of the cycling community have the awareness, tools and support structure they need to do their part. By taking a proactive stance and working together, USAC and it's members can ensure that sport continues to deliver on its promise to athletes and the communities that nurture them. For more details on USA Cycling's SafeSport program, please visit http://www.usacycling.org/resources/safesport.
This SafeSport webinar is available free of charge, and should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. As you'll see, the webinar is divided into sections, and you may complete each section as your time allows.
As a part of the SafeSport program, you will need to complete a criminal background check. If you need to take a criminal background check, please visit http://legacy.usacycling.org/news/user/story.php?id=3275.
Registrants for this webinar should note that they will receive an e-mail after they register to complete the registration process. Please follow the instructions of the e-mail.
