The path to becoming a licensed mechanic and advancing your skills is all right here.
The process to becoming a licensed USAC Race Mechanic begins with at least two years of mechanic experience, after which mechanics can apply to attend the Bill Woodul Race Mechanics Clinic, an annual summit of the industry’s top mechanics who teach and lead classes that ensure a high standard of experience, knowledge, and professionalism. Individuals leave with an official USAC Mechanics license, and are prepared to work in extreme race conditions.
Once you have your license, you'll start as a Category 4 mechanic and can apply for upgrades through level 1, giving you unsurpassed credibility and experience.
To get started, email your resume outlining at least two years of mechanic experience to Gregory Cross.
