2019 Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships
The first Red Bull UCI Pump Track World Championships were held this past weekend at the Swiss Bike Park near Bern, Switzerland. Americans Payton Ridenour (Pottstown, Penn.) and Tommy Zula (New Carlisle, Ohio) were crowned the first champions with an impressive and exciting performance.

2019-2020 Telenet UCI Cyclocross World Cup
Also in Bern, Switzerland this past weekend was the 2019-2020 Telenet UCI Cyclocross World Cup. In the women’s elite competition, American Kaitlin Keough (Colorado Springs, Colo.) was USA’s top finisher placing fourth. Fellow American Katie Compton (Colorado Springs, Colo,) placed sixth.

DCCX
The 2019 DCCX race was held in Washington D.C where racers competed in a C2 UCI event. This two-day event proved to be a huge success for American racers.
In the first day of the men’s elite race, there was a miniscule margin between 1st and 3rd place. Kerry Werner (Birdsboro, Penn.) ultimately came out on top above fellow Americans Stephan Hyde (Easthampton, Mass.) and Andrew Dillman (Fairdale, Ky.) placing second and third respectively. In the women’s elite competition, it was a tight race to the finish. Rebecca Fahringer (Concord, N.H.) placed first with Samantha Runnels (Austin, Texas) and Courtenay McFadden (Bellingham, Wash.) close behind her placing second and third respectively. Day 1 for men’s juniors was a success for Americans. In first place, Andrew Strohmeyer (Mount Airy, Md.) edged out fellow American’s Magnus Sheffield (Pittsford, N.Y.) and Ian McDonald (Oak Hill, W.Va.) who placed second and third respectively.
Day two brought an exciting battle between American racers Hyde and Werner in the men’s elite competition. Ultimately, Hyde came out on top. Werner came in second, and Cody Kaiser (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) in third. Fahringer for the second week in a row had another win in the women’s competition. Courtenay McFadden and Raylyn Nuss (Lake Saint Louis, Mo.) finished close behind Fahringer placing second and third respectively. In the junior men’s competition, the top three stayed the same for the day before. Sheffield edged out Strohmeyer for first place. McDonald finished in third.

Leah Thomas won time trial at Chrono des Nations
American road racer, Leah Thomas (Boulder Creek, Calif.) raced at the Chrono des Nations this past weekend and was able to secure a huge win in the third stage of the time trial. Thomas beats Vita Heine (NOR) in a race against the clock.
