Basic Information

Webinars are open to anyone. If you are not a USA Cycling member/license holder, you have to create an account at the USA Cycling website. Only US residents can create a My USA Cyling account.

Continuing Education Units

USA Cycling certified race directors will earn continuing education units (CEUs) for attending the webinars. Generally, USA Cycling owned webinars will be worth 1 CEU. Webinars not provided by USA Cycling will be assigned a CEU value on an individual basis. USA Cycling reserves the right to set the value for the webinar that may differ from the above formula.

An email receipt detailing the CEU value will be sent after the webinar to all webinar attendees. The email will serve as your documentation for the CEU credit. It is your responsibility to maintain the record of earned CEUs.

Registration and attendance is required to earn CEU credit.

Repeated topics are eligible for CEUs as long as the presenter(s) are different. Different presenters will offer different views on topics. If you attend the same webinar topic by the same presenter, you will only be able to count that webinar value once in a calendar year. For instance, if you attend webinar topic X by presenter Y in January and attend that same webinar by that same presenter in October, you can only count one of them. However, if you attend two (or more) webinars on the same topic by different presenters, each webinar will count for CEU credit.

If you attend a recorded webinar to receive a CEU you will have to take and pass a short online exam. You'll find a link to the webinar exam in the registration email.

Recording

Recordings of webinars will be made available via our website shortly after the live viewing. If you sign up for the live webinar and do not attend, you will still be responsible for purchasing the recorded version, if you choose to watch it. USA Cycling does not provide refunds for missed webinars.
USA Cycling will make recordings of selected webinars available. Recorded webinars will be posted at your My USA Cycling account under the tool link in the race director resource box. Archived webinars will have archived in the title.

At this time, if you pay to attend the live webinar and cannot attend, USA Cycling does not provide access to the recorded version. USA Cycling does not give refunds for webinars unless USA Cycling cancels the webinar

Registration

To register for a webinar you must log into your USA Cycling account. If you are a licensed race director simply log in, click on the tool link (below the welcome header) then click on Next Upcoming Webinars in the race director resource box, then select the webinar you wish to participate in. The GoToTraining site will email you instructions for joining the webinar (and a couple of reminders) that include the URL and the teleconference phone number to call. You may not receive this email until the day before the webinar.

Generally, the deadline for payment is by 1:00pm Mountain time the day of the webinar, unless the webinar is filled.

If you pay but do not complete the registration as described above, you will not get into the webinar and there are no refunds for missed webinars. There are also no "rollovers" to other webinars. Webinar payments cannot be transferred to another person either.

Troubleshooting

Contact USA Cycling as soon as possible for the link.

A few possibilities:

1. You registered at the webinar site, but you did not pay the fee required for the webinar. Please review the registration and payment process.

2. If you have paid, please notify the Race Director Manager as soon as possible. A simple and easily correctable error may have occurred in the approval process.

3. You registered with 2 (or more) email addresses. One was denied. Check the other. The address that was approved will be the one in the USA Cycling database.

Please note that you should not register for a webinar and then provide the link to another person.
