(Oct. 31, 2015) – Jennifer Valente (San Diego, Calif./TWENTY16 p/b SHO-AIR) won her second medal at the 2015-16 UCI World Cup #1 Saturday in Cali, Colombia, earning bronze in the women’s scratch race.

Valente finished third behind Arlenis Sierra Canadilla (CUB) and Lotte Kopecky (BEL) to take bronze in the scratch race final.
 
She also helped the women’s team pursuit squad to silver on Friday.
 
Matt Baranoski (Perkasie, Pa./Custom Velo) won his heat in the men’s keirin first round, then placed second in his second round heat before ultimately finishing fifth in the finals just 0.328 seconds off of winner Joachim Eilers’ (GER) pace. Matthew Glaetzer (AUS) earned silver.
 
Sarah Hammer (Colorado Springs, Colo.) opened up the women’s omnium with a fourth-place standing at the midpoint following a fifth-place effort in the scratch race, second-place finish in the individual pursuit and 17th-place result in the elimination race.
 
Jacob Duehring (Irvine, Calif./GS Ciao) stands 21st in the men’s omnium after taking respective 22nd-, 20th- and 21st-place finishes in the scratch race, individual pursuit and elimination race.

Competition in Cali concludes for Team USA on Sunday when Baranoski takes on the men’s sprint race field, while Duehring and Hammer close out men’s and women’s omnium competition with the time trial, flying lap and points races.
