Travis Woodruff Election Statement

Travis Woodruff
Coach - Mountain Bike Sport Committee

As a USAC member since 1998, a certified coach since 2003, and a professional mountain bike racer since 2005 I am excited to run for re-election to the USAC Mountain Bike Sport Committee. I own and operate Momentum Endurance, a cycling coaching business. I volunteer as Director of Arizona Devo, a mountain bike development program that aims to provide development opportunities to Arizona’s up and coming mountain bike racers. This has been an excellent way to give back to the next generation of racers some of what I’ve learned over the many years.  I am fortunate to have gained a lot of valuable experience by participating in almost all of the national level mountain bike races over the past eight years. Applying this experience to provide feedback and direction to the committee has been very rewarding and I feel that we have made some great progress.
As a member of the USAC MTB Sport Committee it has been my goal to provide feedback and direction that helps to ensure future opportunities for aspiring mountain bike racers. Having great domestic racing opportunities, access to support and training or racing camps are critical components that can help a rider make it to the top level – whether that be in the junior, U23, or professional ranks.
With your vote I would love to continue on the committee as the voice of USAC’s MTB coaches. It’s important that we continue building upon the progress that we’ve made over the past two years that I’ve been able to serve. Thank you for your consideration.
