Todd Scheske Election Statement
I am submitting a nomination to run for the Road Committee Masters Athlete representative for the opportunity to continue my contribution to the USA Cycling membership. I have been a competitive cyclist since a junior and now have 27 seasons of racing behind me. During that time I have competed in international events and in the later part of that experience, I have race both elite and masters events with consistent participation in masters road and track national championships with medals in each.
In addition to racing, I have also officiated and promoted various events, with the largest being the UCI 2.2 Rochester Omnium. I also have a USA Cycling coaches level 1 license and have served as our local racing club's president for 12 years.
I believe I can continue to represent master athletes well since I have significant experience as a rider, team director, coach, promoter and official. I think a balanced view of what works across various interests and what the needs of each area of racing are, is integral to growing cycling for all disciplines. It is my desire to employ my experience as a rider coupled with experiences from an event production standpoint to contribute to USA Cycling and the advancement of a sport we are all passionate about.
So I ask for your support and for your vote
