Time for USA Cycling-certified coaches to renew their licenses!

Print You can now renew your coaching license online through your MYUSACYCLING account.
Some recent developments have created alternative ways to renew your coaching license. You can now renew your coaching license online! Let me repeat that YOU CAN NOW RENEW YOUR COACHING LICENSE ONLINE.
To see if you are eligible or how to renew online see below. USAC also now accepts faxes or scans of the coaching license application and waivers. The application cover letter has been updated about the scan/fax (online info will come), but the information on the website has not yet been updated.
The renewal process can be done completely online if the criteria are met. When you go to your MYUSACYCLING>Purchase/Renew License (or LICENSE INFO tab) under coaching license you will see if you are eligible for online renewal. If you are not eligible you will see what is keeping you from being able to renew online (how cool is that).
1) your criminal background check (CBC) is current. This means that the date in our database is not more than 2 years old. (More on CBC below)
2) Your CEU is not due.
IT IS CRITICAL THAT IF THE FOLLOWING APPLY THAT YOU CONTACT THE COACHING EDUCATION DIRECTOR ONCE ALL STEPS ARE COMPLETED.
Now, if your CEU and/or CBC is out-of-date or due, there are some things you can do that would allow you to renew online. If your criminal background check is out of date (or about the expire), go to the provider’s website (found in the instructions) and submit the information. Once a “green light” is issued, contact the coaching education director via email so that your CBC date can be updated in the USAC database. Once that happens you can renew online (as long as the CEU is taken care of).
If your CEU is due, you can fax or send a scan of the CEU Summary Report form (and supporting documentation if required) to the coaching education director. If you have the required 40 CEUs, then the CEU date will be updated. Bingo, you can renew online.
Now, if you need to pay the recertification, you can pay that fee online using the VIEW AVAILABLE CLINICS from MYUSACYCLING page. There will be a recertification option for each scenario.

Recertification Level 3 >20 CEU
Recertification Level 2 <20 CEU
Recertification Level 2 >20 CEU
Recertification Level 1 <20 CEU

If you need to take the test as well, please complete the test. The test is available at no cost through the COACHING LINKS from your MYUSACYCLING account. If you need to re-take the exam for your certification, and it does not appear on the COACHING LINKS section, please contact the coaching education director via email.
If you need to pay the recertification fee and/or need to take the exam, once you have paid and passed the test, email the coaching education director. Once everything is verified and entered in the database, you can pay and signed waivers online.
