Russell Stevenson
Cyclo-cross Committee — Masters Athlete

I am excited to be running for a position on the USA Cycling Cyclocross Committee as Master's Athlete. I have been racing bikes for over 20 years. I was introduced to Cyclocross in 1998 well before its "Boom" in popularity. Within the last decade I have raced as a US Road Pro as a member of three UCI teams. These days I am happy to say I am still competitive as a Pro MTB, Cat 1 Road and Elite/Master's Cross racer. I am the current Master's 35 Road Champion and runner-up at both 2010 Master's Cross and Elite Road Championship. Results aside, my passion to continue to compete at a high level comes from the wonderful people and life long relationships I have formed through competition. For me racing bikes is a privilege not to be taken for granted. I make racing fun! And that's what keeps me coming back. My mission as a USAC Cross Committee member is just that; To keep this sport fun for all while representing the athlete's best interests in competition.

I am a USAC Level 2 Power Certified Coach having worked primarily with Master's Cross athletes for the past 6 years. I am currently based in Boulder, CO the bike racer's mecca! I have depth and understanding of both Elite and Master's rules and regulation in competition. I feel I can adequately voice our athletes concerns in the ever changing sport of Cyclocross.

Thank you for the consideration!
