(March 19, 2014) -- The USA Cycling US Cup Pro Series presented by Sho-Air Cycling Group and the USA Cycling Pro Mountain Bike Cross Country Tour (Pro XCT) continued on March 15 with a UCI Category HC race at Bonelli Park in San Dimas, Calif.

The Czech Republic's Katerina Nash (Luna Pro Team) and Canadian Geoff Kabush (Scott-3Rox Racing) won their respective elite races and lead the standings in both the seven-race Pro XCT and the four-event USA Cycling US Cup Pro Series presented by Sho-Air Cycling Group.

Men
Kabush rode a tactically smart race at Bonelli, biding his time and attacking for the victory to win by 50 seconds over Sergio Mantecon Gutierrez (ESP/Trek Factory Racing). Max Plaxton (CAN/Cannondale Factory Racing) held on to claim third place.
With the win, Kabush moves ahead of Plaxton in the Pro XCT men's standings with 450 points and now holds a 25-point advantage on his countryman. The rest of the men's Pro XCT standings remain unchanged with Todd Wells (Durango, Colo./Spezialized Racing) sitting in third place with 325 points, followed by Jeremiah Bishop (Harrisonburg, Va./Team Sho-Air-Cannondale) and Derek Zandstra (CAN/Scott-3Rox Racing) with 250 and 220 points, respectively.

The top four of the US Cup Pro Series men's standings at the halfway point are Kabush (77 points), Plaxton (64), Wells (56) and Bishop (45). Gutierrez is in a three-way tie for fifth place with Zandstra and Alexander Grant (Salt Lake City, Utah/Team Sho-Air-Cannondale). All three riders have 37 points.

Women
Nash dominated the elite women's cross-country race from start to finish as she claimed her second consecutive victory in the Pro XCT and US Cup Pro Series races. Nash and Luna teammate Catherine Pendrel (CAN) rode away from the field on the first lap of the five-lap race, with Nash pulling away on lap three to solo to the win. Pendrel was followed across the line by Emily Batty (CAN/Trek Factory Racing) in third place.

After winning her second straight race, Nash leads the Pro XCT women's standings with 500 points. Pendrel sits in second in the standings with 400 points while Batty moves past Georgia Gould (Fort Collins, Colo./Luna Pro Team) into third place with 325 points. Gould drops to fourth place in the standings with 275, while Daniela Campuzano (MEX/Mexico National Team) enters the top five with 250 points after placing fourth at Bonelli Park.

In the US Cup Pro Series standings, Nash remains the leader at the halfway mark with 80 points, trailed by Pendrel (64), Batty (57), Campuzano (49) and Gould (47).

Team
After the second of the seven races on the Pro XCT calendar, Luna Pro Team remains atop the Pro XCT team standings with 900 points. Trek Factory Racing jumps up from fourth place to second place in the standings with 525 points, while Sho-Air-Cannondale (430) and Specialized Racing (365) both slip one spot to third and fourth, respectively. Kona enters the top five this week with 259 points.
