Gina Kavesh, Dorothy Nichols fill positions on USA Cycling Board of Directors

  
  


Colorado Springs, Colo. (Nov. 13, 2013) -- Two vacant positions were filled on the USA Cycling Board of Directors this month when Gina Kavesh and Dorothy Nichols were elected by their respective sport committees to fill the roles during the committee meetings, Nov. 4-5.
 
Kavesh will serve on the Board as the representative from USA Cycling's Road Committee and Nichols will serve as the representative from USA Cycling's Mountain Bike Committee.
 
Gina Kavesh is known for her devotion to women's and juniors initiatives, most notably for her involvement with women's clinics in Washington and California, her leadership in the Washington State Bicycle Association's (WSBA) race series, and her involvement in the WSBA's Junior Committee and Junior Cycling Camps.
 
A well-recognized figure in the mountain biking industry, Dorothy Nichols is a UCI International Mountain Bike Commissaire who played a role in founding the former National Off-Road Bicycle Association and its national series.
