USA Cycling has announced a revision to qualification for its USA Cycling Elite Track National Championships. USA Cycling will be discontinuing the Velodrome Championships which have previously been used as qualifying races for the USA Cycling Elite Track National Championships.

Category restrictions on riders who may participate in the USA Cycling Elite Track National Championships remain in place. Men who wish to contest a mass start event must be at least a category 2 while women must be at least a category 3 rider. Riders who fall below that certification may participate in an individual pursuit or a time trial event.
