USA Cycling MTB National Ultra-Endurance Calendar underway

Colorado Springs, Colo. (February 22, 2010) -- The 2010 USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Ultra-Endurance Calendar kicked off on Saturday with the 12-Hours of Santos in Ocala, Fla. With wins in the solo men’s and women’s events, Evan Plews (Salem, Ore.) and Rita Borelli (Tallahassee, Fla.) grabbed the early leads in USA Cycling’s premier ultra-endurance mountain bike race series. After the first of five races in the series, the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Ultra-Endurance Calendar rankings are as follows:

Elite Men
1. Evan Plews (Salem, Ore.)
2. Sebastian Oritz
3. Rob Lichtenwalner (Nazareth, Pa.)
4. Brandon Draugelis (Bedford, Pa.)
5. Michael Christopher (Gainesville, Fla.)


Elite Women

1. Rita Borelli (Tallahassee, Fla.)
2. Selene Yeager (Emmaus, Pa.)
3. Annett Lamberson
4. Kristy Coale
5. Sandra Tomlinson (Macon, Ga.)
