Karzen and Moir conclude European race trip; Van Garderen wins award in Netherlands
USA Cycling National Development Program riders Kit Karzen (Beverly Hills, Calif./NOW-MS Society) and Ian Moir (Long Beach, Calif./Rock Racing) recently closed out a successful European race trip while former Development Program rider Tejay Van Garderen (Fort Collins, Colo./Rabobank) received a Sportsmanship award in the Netherlands.

Kit Karzen (Beverly Hills, Calif./NOW-MS Society) and Ian Moir (Long Beach, Calif./Rock Racing) just wrapped up a long stint of racing in European 3- and 6-Day track events with the USA Cycling National Development Program. On February 9, the duo completed the Copenhagen 6-Day competition in the Netherlands where they rode to an impressive fifth-place overall in the UIV Talent Cup. Click here for complete results from that event. Following Copenhagen, they contested the Alkmaar 3-Day, Feb. 12-14, and ended the event in ninth-place.

USA Cycling National Development Program alum Tejay Van Garderen (Fort Collins, Colo./Rabobank) was recently awarded the "Sportsman of the Year" award by the town of Alpen aan den Rijn in the province of Zuid Holland where he lived in the Netherlands.
