U.S. riders race Berlin Six-Day, American women get ready for Ladies Tour of Qatar

Over the weekend, Ian Moir (Long Beach, Calif./Rock Racing) and Kit Karzen (Beverly Hills, Calif./NOW-MS Society) contested the Berlin 6-Day and the U.S. National Team competed in the 2010 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships where Meredith Miller (Fort Collins, Colo./Cal Giant) turned in the top result for the 20-rider contingent. Coming up, USA Cycling will field a team of six for the Ladies Tour of Qatar.

U.S. National Team riders Ian Moir (Long Beach, Calif./Rock Racing) and Kit Karzen (Beverly Hills, Calif./NOW-MS Society) competed in the Berlin 6-Day, Jan. 28-31, completing the UIV Talent Cup in eighth-place. For more on this event, click here.

USA Cycling fielded a 20-rider U.S. National Team for the 2010 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships this weekend in the Czech Republic. In the junior race, Cody Kaiser (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Cal Giant) was first for the U.S. in 33rd-place while Zach McDonald (Bainbridge Island, Wash./Stevens Classic Cycle) was the top rider for the U23 squad in 28th. Meredith Miller (Fort Collins, Colo./Cal Giant) was the first American in the elite women's event in 12th-place and Tim Johnson(Middleton, Mass./Cannondale-Cyclo-crossworld.com) led the U.S. in the elite men's contest with 14th-place.
