DEVELOPMENT WRAP-UP: East, Carroll finish 10th in Grenoble Six-Day

East, Carroll complete 1st pro 6-day event

Track cycling season continued last week with Americans Guy East (Indianapolis, Ind.) and Austin Carroll (Orange, Calif.) contesting the Grenoble Six-Day in France, and competition will continue to heat up on the track as American riders prepare for the second stop on the UCI Track World Cup circuit.

NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT TEAM PROGRAM

Representing the U.S. National Team, Guy East and Austin Carroll contested the Grenoble Six-Day in France, October 29 - November 3. It was the pair's first professional Six-day event, and they finished tenth overall.

COMING UP...

Guy East and Austin Carroll will head to the UK to compete in the Revolution in Manchester on November 14.

USA Cycling is holding a camp at the Home Depot Center Velodrome in Carson, Calif., Nov. 10-15, to prepare riders for the second stop on the UCI Track World Cup, which is slated for Nov. 20-22 in Melbourne, Australia. The U.S. National Team roster for the Melbourne World Cup is as follows:

Cody O'Reilly (Santa Barbara, Calif.) - points race, Madison
Austin Carroll (Orange, Calif.) - scratch race, Madison
Giddeon Massie (Zion Hill, Pa.) - sprint, kilo, keirin
Kimberly Geist (Emmaus, Pa.) - individual pursuit, team pursuit
Lauren Franges (Asheville, N.C.) - points race, scratch race, team pursuit
Shelley Olds (Scotts Valley, Calif.) - points race, scratch race, team pursuit
