Technical Director Update
October 6, 2009
The cyclocross season is moving along nicely so far and we are already looking at our budgets and plans for next year. There will be a few changes to the officials program coming up in the near future, most notably the level B program, but I will get to that in the next update. This update will be a short one with only two topics.
Official’s Clothing
In case you had not stumbled upon it already, our new clothing provider is online. Please check out the site and the product line and let me know what you think. You can access it from a link on the official’s page or from the "Shop USA Cycling" link on the main page.
Our business development director asked me to ask you what other things you would like to see being offered that are not offered right now. I will keep a list of suggestions with those receiving the most support getting the earliest addition to the site.
Level A Clinic
Usually by now we have talked about the annual conclave, but due to a lot of circumstances this year, it doesn’t look like we will be having it in the fall as we usually do. However, I did still have budgeted a level A road and track clinic. We could still pull that one off if we had a group of interested and qualified officials. If you would be interested in attending such a clinic, please let me know. Also, let me know how much of your interest depends on where it is being held or when. Please see below for the qualifications for attending the level A upgrade clinic.
Thanks.
