Colorado Springs, Colo. (September 18, 2009) – The 2009/2010 U.S. Cyclo-cross season is gearing up with the first four events on the USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Racing Calendar being contested this weekend.
This year’s series boasts six UCI category-one competitions and 36 category-two competitions. When the season ends with the U.S. Grand Prix of Cyclo-cross Portland Cup in Oregon on December 6, the overall men’s and women’s series champions will be crowned. Ryan Trebon (Bend, Ore./Kona) and Georgia Gould (Fort Collins, Colo./Luna) will be looking for good starts to their seasons as they race to defend the overall titles they won a year ago.
