Colorado Springs, Colo. (September 1, 2009) – Applications for the 2009 USA Cycling/IMBA Trail Tune-up Grants are due September 15, 2009. Five $500 grants will be awarded to mountain biking groups that seek to jump-start trail improvement projects.
Projects that create or improve trails used for mountain bike racing will receive the highest consideration, but funding can also be used to improve trails for race training and recreational riding. Applicants must be current members of International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), as well as USA Cycling member clubs/race promoters.
Grant winners will be announced this month at the Interbike Expo in Las Vegas and will also be notified by IMBA and USA Cycling.
