Why he rides
Ken has always had a good reason to ride. As a kid, it was his paper route. As a college student, it was for recreation. When he got a little older, back surgery left him few alternatives for exercise. So now Ken rides for his health.

Why he races
At age 43, Ken decided it would be fun to give racing a shot. With what he considers his first milestone in the sport, a win in the Georgia State Masters Championship Road Race, Ken has gone on to race for almost three decades and he really enjoys traveling to the races, meeting interesting people, and promoting the bicycle as a form of transportation.
