Kabush and Koerber win at Windham; JHK and Pendrel take inaugural Pro XCT crowns

Despite a mid-race crash, Geoff Kabush (CAN/Team Maxxis-Rocky Mountain) recovered to earn the just over one minute win a the Yankee Clipper at Windham Mountain, the final race on the USA Cycling Professional Cross Country Tour presented by Sho-air. On the women's side, Willow Koerber (Asheville, N.C./Subaru-Gary Fisher) pulled off an impressive win ahead of the stacked field at Windham. For comple results from the Yankee Clipper, click here.

With his fifth-place finish at Windham, Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski (Boulder, Colo./Subaru-Gary Fisher) locked up the first-ever Pro XCT championship ahead of Sid Taberlay (AUS/Sho-air-Specialized). For the women Catherine Pendrel (CAN/Luna) pulled off the narrow series victory ahead of teammate Georgia Gould (Fort Collins, Colo./Luna). The final 2009 USA Cycling Pro Mountain Bike Cross Country Tour presented by Sho-air standings are as follows:

Kabush aslo won the short track conest at Windham, but Todd Wells (Durango, Colo./Specialized Factory Racing) won the Pro XCT Trailwatch.net STXC presented by Escape Adventures series title. Lea Davison Jericho, Vt./Maxxis) earned the short track win at Windham, but Heather Irmiger's (Boulder, Colo./Subaru-Gary Fisher) fifth-place finish was good enough to earn her the series crown. .
