Ordering Introduction to Coaching Cyclists
If you are going to wait until after December 1 to apply for a coaching license for 2010, please do not start the criminal background check until December 1 or later. You can take the online test at any time. The 2010 application should be available on the USAC website in the coaching program area on or just after December 1.
Thank you for your interest in Introduction to Coaching Cyclists. While the manual is geared toward people wanting to become a certified coach, the information is applicable to the self-coached rider as well.

Some errors are in the current version of Introduction to Coaching Cyclists version 2009. The "errata" document outlines some of the more important errors. You may download the corrections from the MYUSACYCLING page. The corrections are made in manual version 2009.1 and later versions.
You may order through MYUSACYCLING if
- you have created a MYUSACYCLING account at the USAC website
- the manual is being being sent to a US address,
- you are paying by Visa or Mastercard.
The preferred method of ordering is through the MY USACYCLING function at the USA Cycling website. Ordering through the website saves you money, time and is more secure compared to mailing or faxing in the form. Log in to your MYUSACYCLING account at the USAC website and click on the LICENSE INFO tab. From that tab click on the the link PURCHASE INTRO TO COACHING CYCLISTS (Example below).

Manuals ordered online will generally be mailed via USPS within 7 business days. The cost of the manual if ordered online is $35.
Ordering if you do not have a MYUSACYCLING account
If you do not have a MYUSACYCLING account, you can order via the website by creating a MYUSACYCLING account.
You do not need to be a USAC license holder or pay a fee to create a MYUSACYCLING account.
To create an account if you do not have a USAC license, go to the USAC home page, click on the MYUSACYCLING logo, enter your name and date of birth, then CONTINUE. Follow instructions from there.
Do not want to create an account?
If you do not wish to order through the USA Cycling website, click on http://www.usacycling.org/forms/coaches/Materials_Order.pdf. You can complete this form and mail or fax it to the address on the form. The materials that will be mailed include the coaching manual, license application and test. Allow two weeks for manuals ordered using the mail or faxed form. The cost of ordering the manual via fax or mail is $45.
What if I want the book shipped outside the US?
If you want a manual shipped to an address outside the United States, you must order by fax or mail and add $20 for a total cost of $65.
