2010 Mountain Bike Promoters Summit

What is it?
The Mountain Bike Promoter Summit will be an opportunity for promoters, event organizers, industry, team managers, NORBA Board of Trustees (BOT), and USA Cycling staff to collectively meet and discuss the direction and changes within the sport, share best practices, and develop initiatives to advance the sport of mountain bike racing in the US.  Emphasis will be placed on National Championship events, Pro MTB Tours, and American Mountain Bike Challenge (AMBC) organizers and races.

Friday, November 12

6:00-8pm:  Check-in and evening mixer (6pm-8pm) with NORBA Board of Trustees, USA Cycling staff, and National Racing Calendar (NRC) promoters.  Check out the new USA Cycling offices!  Shuttles will be available for attendees staying at the Olympic Training Complex.  The Hyatt Summerfield Suites is within walking distance of the USAC offices.

Saturday, November 13
US Olympic Training Complex, Colorado Springs              
9am – 5pm:  Meetings

Who can attend?
The MTB Summit will be open to promoters, team managers, industry, and officials.  The NORBA Board of Trustees will also be having their annual fall meeting immediately before the MTB Summit and many of the BOT members will be staying the weekend to attend the Summit.

There is no cost to attend the MTB Summit, but attendees will be responsible for their travel and housing,  along with any off-campus or meal fees (these are charged and collected by the OTC if not staying on-campus).
Dorm-style accommodation will be available at the Olympic Training Complex (OTC) for $45/day (includes housing and three meals/day).  Reservations are required and will be available on a first-come/first-served basis.  Attendees staying at the OTC can also arrange transport to/from the Colorado Springs airport at no charge (shuttle).

Attendees staying at the OTC will have three meals/day provided in their daily accommodation cost ($45).  Attendees opting to stay off-campus will be responsible for the cost of their lunch meal tickets (lunch will be served at the OTC).  Snacks, coffee, and beverages will be provided throughout the day during the meetings.  A Friday night mixer and Saturday dinner will be provided by USA Cycling.
Attendees will be responsible for their travel to/from the MTB Summit.  Discounts will be available for flights and rental cars.  A free shuttle is available to/from the Colorado Springs airport and the OTC.

The USAC discount is available at www.usacycling.org through a member’s online account.

Please complete and submit the registration form to the USA Cycling office either by email or fax.  On-campus accommodation is limited, so please sign-up early!
