Colorado Springs, Colo. (February 22, 2008)—USA Cycling has announced new collegiate benefits from TrainingPeaks.
All registered USA Cycling collegiate teams are now eligible for a free team account, allowing them to manage all training programs and training data, for free, leading into the USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships in May of 2008.
“I’ve realized that due to the large team dynamic of Collegiate cycling there is a unique demand for collegiate benefit providers and suppliers. Our long time partner, TrainingPeaks, has now met the demands for yet another of USA Cycling’s programs,” said Daniel Matheny, USA Cycling’s collegiate cycling manager. “As a certified USA Cycling coach myself, I am familiar with TrainingPeaks and am excited to see collegiate teams take advantage of the opportunity to better organize and prepare their training.”
Both coaches' and athletes' benefits include:
- Time-saving consolidation of training data
- Ability to download from various devices (Power Tap, Polar, Garmin, SRM, Ergomo, etc) using Device Agent
- Manual upload to quickly transfer and archive race and training data for analysis
- Distribution of web-based workouts to an entire team within minutes
- Monitoring nutrition and plan meals
- Tracking of daily metrics including sleep, stress, pulse, weight, etc.
