Coaching Certification Applications


REMINDER:  Coaching licenses expire on December 31, 2009.  If you renew or take out a coaching license before December 1, 2009 the license will expire on December 31, 2009.  However, if you wait until after December 1, 2009 and send in the 2010 application, the license will be good through December 31, 2010.  If you are a new coach wanting to wait please make sure that you use the 2010 application (should be available December 1) and also wait until December 1 to start the criminal background check process.


VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION

      Please note that coaching license applications cannot be faxed or send via email as a scanned document; original, "wet" signatures are required.  That means you need to send it via USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.

Some people are not sending in the signed Acknowledgement of Risk, etc form with the coaching license application.  You must send in this signed form.  Failure to do so will mean that a coaching license will not be issued until the form is received.  If you have received notice that you are missing the signed waivers, that waiver is part of the coaching license application.  There is no exception.  Even if you signed one for your racing license, USA Cycling needs the signed form for the coaching license as well.

Important Information

If you are seeking your coaching certification for the first time and have not ordered the level 3 coach materials, you need to do this before completing the coaching license application. The level 3 coach exam answer sheet must accompany the application if you are not currently a certified coach. For more information, please see the following page

Liability insurance is only available to USA Cycling certified coaches; if you are not current with your certification, you are not eligible for the liability insurance program. Please note that you send the liability insurance application to the insurance company.
