  DEVELOPMENT WRAP: Tamayo 6th in Qatar; U.S. podiums in Copenhagen

It was quite a weekend for USA Cycling Development Program athletes with several strong performances on both the road and track. Lauren Tamayo rode to a sixth-place overall finish for the USA Cycling Women's National Team in the Ladies Tour of Qatar. In Denmark, two pairs of American juniors rode onto the podium in the Copenhagen Junior Three-Day. Jesse Marans and Colt Peterson grabbed silver while Matt Baranoski and Daniel Farinha rode to bronze.
   
  Deadline to register 2010-11 UCI track trade teams March 11

Attention potential 2010-11 UCI registered track teams: The deadline to file all necessary paperwork to USA Cycling is Friday, March 11. This year, USA Cycling will oversee more aspects of the UCI registration process, similar to the registration of UCI continental road teams. The official deadline for USA Cycling to submit registration materials to the UCI is March 14. Therefore, USA Cycling needs to receive all of the necessary documentation by March 11.
   
  2010 USA Cycling Pro Tour Calendar unveiled

USA Cycling announced today the fourth edition of the USA Cycling Professional Tour, which is highlighted by an expanded calendar and two first-time UCI events. While Garmin-Transitions’ Dave Zabriskie captured the individual title in 2009, the powerful Columbia-HTC team edged fellow U.S. based Pro Tour squad, Garmin for the team title. This year some of the world's top riders will prepare to compete in any number of the ten USA Cycling Pro Tour events in the U.S.
   
  2010 USA Cycling Collegiate Road Season begins in Tucson

The 2010 USA Cycling Collegiate Road season kicked off last weekend in Tucson with the University of Arizona Criterium, the year's first collegiate cycling race. The season will begin in earnest across the country in the weeks that follow, but this early season start was a great preview of the excitement to come.
