IMBA World Summit one-day race director meeting Oct. 10

Attend a one-day session to network, and discuss event management and advocacy issues!

USA Cycling is excited to take part in the IMBA World Summit Mountain Bike Race and Event Promoter meeting in Santa Fe, NM, on October 10.

We'd like to encourage all mountain bike event organizers to attend the pre-summit, one-day session and join the discussion on how great customer event experiences tied with advocacy efforts create sustainable venues for events.

As a land access stakeholder, you can encourage trail preservation by reaching out to large audiences of trail users. You help sustain and grow mountain biking across the country. This special session of the IMBA World Summit will provide a great networking opportunity and leave you with take-home action items for your event. A professionally facilitated discussion will address topics like how to increase participation, working with land managers and local volunteers, quantifying local economic impact, attracting new audiences and linking races/event to trail access campaigns. IMBA board members and staff, along with some top names in mountain bike event promotion, will be on hand to shape the agenda, including:

· Elayna Caldwell, Interbike/Outdoor Demo
· Chris Conroy, Mountain States Cup/Yeti Cycles
· Jeff Frost, Sea Otter Classic/MBAA
· Rand Hubbell, Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department
· Tara McCarthy, USA Cycling
· Mike McCormack, Breck Epic
· Austin McInerny, National Interscholastic Cycling Association
· Dave Wiens, Original Growler/Ergon Bike Ergonomics

Attendees can register for the event/race promoter session only, or the entire IMBA World Summit program. The agenda is in the initial planning stages and we welcome more people attending and helping shape a productive day.
