Event Description

Allegheny Cycling Association Saturday Morning Criterium Series. Races will be run for all classes of racers with no mixing of classes.

Course Description

Course is a 1/2 mile paved oval located at Pittsburgh's Bud Harris Cycling Track. Course subject to change week to week. (It is not going to be just laps normal laps around the oval every week). We have some great course design we will we throwing at you.

Registration

Preregister: By purchasing a ABRA Oval Season Pass your are are guaranteed entry into every race, since buying a season pass implies pre-registration. With field limits of 35 rider per field this is very important if you want to insure a starting spot. There will be bikereg pages offered to Preregister for separate ABRA Oval Series events (at $17 per online entry) however by purchasing the ABRA season pass you save $2 per race and only get charged Bikereg.com service fee once! Second Race Entered only $10.00 (Season Pass only good for one race per day) Race day registration will be $20 and will open at 8:00AM (please see field limit and guaranteed racing spot information below. USAC License required for all riders. Annual License or One-day Licenses can be purchased at the event for those who do not hold a USAC Racing License.

Notes

2012 Oval Racing Series Rules: To qualify for series championship you must complete 8 of the 10 events. Final race worth DOUBLE POINTS Total points will be determined by your best 8 races. Points to be given by finishing order at each event to top 15 finishers per event. No points will be given for DNS or DNF. In case of ties, Finishing order at final race is tie breaker. To race in the ABRA Oval Series you must hold a USAC License or purchase a one day license at each event. ABRA Oval Series follows guidelines set for by USAC rule book. Note that August 4th race is NOT included in the ABRA series. This is a separate race managed by the ACA outside of ABRA rules and rega.
