Event Description

Tour De Dung Road Race #2: March 10th 2012. PRESENTED BY: THE GARAGE AND KRYKISPORTS CYCLING TEAMS Second of two races in the rain shadow of the beautiful Olympic Mountain Range. Start/finish is across the road from the Dungeness State Park and Recreation Area.

Course Description

RaceDay Registration ONLY: Each race $30 which inlcudes Washington State Taxes. Registration opens at 8:45 AM and closes 15 minutes prior to the start of your race. Annual USA Cycling Licenses ONLY: One day licenses for Cat 5 Men and Cat 4 Women only. WSBA numbers: Will be used and can be purchased at www.wsbaracing.com (not for sale at the race). Rental numbers: Will be available at the race for a $10 rental fee ($5 is refundable). For out-of-state riders there is no fee to rent a number just a $5 deposit. Masters 50+ can ride either Masters Race.

Notes

Parking and porta-lets will be located in the field across the road from the Dungeness State Park and Recreation Area. RACE NUMBERS: WSBA numbers on the LEFT hand side of jerseys and on frame. More race and Prize details will be posted closer to event on http://racing.garagebilliards.com/

Directions

LOCATION: Sequim, Dungeness, Washington. From Seattle using the Bainbridge Island Ferry: Exit the ferry at Winslow. Stay on SR 305 to Poulsbo. Proceed through Poulsbo and take SR 3 north (follow signs to the Hood Canal Bridge). Follow directions from Hood Canal Bridge. From the Edmunds-Kingston Ferry: Remain on SR 104 the Canal Bridge. Follow directions from Hood Canal Bridge. From Tacoma: Take SR 16 from the Tacoma Narrows Bridge north. At the junction with SR 3, take SR 3 north to the Hood Canal Bridge. Directions from Hood Canal Bridge: At the Hood Canal Bridge, make a left turn (right turn if you are coming from Kingston) and proceed across the bridge (on SR 104). Follow SR 104 to the junction with US Hwy 101. Take US 101 North toward Pt. Townsend and Pt. Angeles. Follow US 101 past Sequim, stay on Highway 101 until you reach Kitchen Dick Road, take a right onto Kitchen Dick Road. Continue on Kitchen Dick Road, past Woodcock when you will be on the race course, all the way to Lotzgesell Road Rd where the parking area and Start/Finish location. From Olympia and South: Take US Hwy 101 north. Follow US 101 past Sequim, stay on Highway 101 until you reach Kitchen Dick Road, take a right onto Kitchen Dick Road. Continue on Kitchen Dick Road, past Woodcock when you will be on the race course, all the way to Lotzgesell Road Rd where the parking area and Start/Finish location.
