|The start of the race will be on the pavement next to the school. The Finish Line will be at the end of that straightaway of the running track. The course will follow the running track around to the right, down the back straight, around the final turn to the right. The course will turn off the running track with a sweeping left U turn onto grass followed by a steep climb to the high point of the course. A long grass decent will be followed by a sweeping turn to a dismount up and over a retaining wall (the horse jump). A sweeping left turn will descend to a sandy grass field followed by a set of sweeping turns on a jeep track through trees. The course will then follow a long stretch on pavement, followed by a hard U turn to the left with a slight drop back on to grass. The course will then pass through one side of the double pit. The Pit Lane will be on the RIGHT. Out of the Pit on a grass straight to a sweeping turn around to the right, make a turn up to the left and climb up a steep embankment and turn to the right. The course then cross a steep camber and descends back to above the running track. Follow the border of track around a sweeping turn on grass to the left. A U turn down an embankment will be followed by course going up and dropping down the embankment several times followed by a cambered corner. The course will then drop back down the camber follow along the embankment base on grass, and make a left turn up the embankment. A right turn onto a level grass, go over a set of barriers and back up to the top of the embankment followed by another cambered corner. The course will then gradually descend to the low point of the course on grass. The course will then travel across short section of gravel lot and make a right and then a left turn onto playing field perimeter to a quick up/down/up turn on an embankment take a U turn to the left on grass to the 2nd Pit Zone between the playing field fence and the dirt parking lot. The Pit Lane will be on the RIGHT. After the Pit Zone the course will turn right and left, on level gravel for a few hundred meters, followed by a sweeping left urn on to a gradual climb on grass then onto a section of gravel lot, to the final right 90’ turn onto the cinder running track to the finish.
THE PIT ZONES WILL BE BACK TO BACK.

SATURDAY UCI CATEGORIES MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED.
THERE ARE NO FIELD LIMITS FOR THESE RACES.
2% of the UCI events prizes will be deducted for UCI Dope tax.
There is a $5 Day of Race Fee on entries. Online entries end November 23, 20101at 12 noon.

|Rules: Elite Men and Women must have a UCI license and use UCI legal cross bikes! Mountain bikes accepted in all other classes. No bar ends, aero bars, or sleeveless jerseys allowed. Helmets must be worn in all races. All races except Kids race – Bikes must have a working brake on each wheel and a rear freewheel. UCI events maximum tire width 33 mm. Tire width checks will be done at staging. Disc brakes are now allowed. USA Cycling license required. One-day licenses can be purchased at registration for $10 for each day of racing. Pre-registration is available online through BikeReg.com until Wednesday, November 24th. Day of registration will be available from 7:00am Sat, 7:00am Sun until 1/4 hour before scheduled start time for all fields; a $5 day of registration fee will apply (except Juniors 10-14).
Races may be combined if less than 10 riders are pre-registered for a class. Riders in the Elite races will be pulled from the race per UCI rules; all other events are subject to the discretion of the chief referee. Course will be open for warm-up in the morning until 15 minutes before the Cat 4 men race, and between the Cat 3/Junior U19 Men and Elite Women race; otherwise no warming up on the course at any time.
|Directions: FROM RT. 2: Take I 190 South. Take Rt. 12 South. Go through the center of Sterling. About 1.5 miles past the town center take a right onto Bean Rd. .2 miles. Go right onto Boutelle Rd. .2 miles to Chocksett School.
FROM THE MASS PIKE: Take I-290 towards Shrewsbury / Marlboro. Turn right onto ramp I-190 north. At exit 5, turn right onto ramp for .03 mi. Turn left onto SR-140 (North). Go straight through lights (Rt. 140 North) and turn right at first set of lights onto Dana Hill Rd. for approximately 0.5 mile. The name changes to Muddy Pond Rd. for 0.7 miles. Turn right after athletic fields onto Boutelle Rd. to the Middle School parking lots. Parking provided at the Chocksett Middle School.
FROM I-495: Take exit 29 onto Route 2 West for approximately 11.3 miles. At exit 33, take ramp (right) onto Mechanic Street for .05 mi towards I-190 South. Take I-190 South for 9.9 miles. Take exit 5, at the end of the ramp turn right onto SR-140 (North). Go straight through lights (Rt. 140 North) and turn right at first set of lights onto Dana Hill Rd. for approximately 0.5 mile. The name changes to Muddy Pond Rd. for 0.7 miles. Turn right after athletic fields onto Boutelle Rd. to the Middle School parking lots. Parking provided at the Chocksett Middle School.
