Colorado Springs, Colo. (September 17, 2013) – The 2013/2014 collegiate cycling season will kick off this week as student-athletes from around the nation converge on the Colorado Springs Velodrome in southern Colorado for the 2013 USA Cycling Collegiate Track National Championships.

With last year's female omnium winner Colleen Hayduk (Kutztown University of Pennsylvania) no longer in the collegiate ranks, spectators should keep an eye out for riders such like Jessica Prinner (Midwestern State University), Mandy Marquardt (Penn State-Lehigh Valley), and Christa Ghent (University of Colorado – Boulder).
Marian University's Colton Barrett will be one of the men to watch as he'll race with the goal of collecting a second straight individual omnium title. He'll be up against track strongmen like Colt Peterson (University of Colorado-Boulder) and Matt Baranoski (Penn State).
Online registration is closed, but if you are planning to race and haven't registered yet, you can register onsite. Onsite registration must occur the day BEFORE your desired event as there will be NO DAY-OF REGISTRATION. The cost of onsite registration is $70 per event. For team events, the cost is $70 per person per event. In addition to registration fees, riders should be prepared to pay the $20 track usage fee upon arrival at the velodrome.
