BMX Supercross World Cup concludes in Southern California next week

  
  


Chula Vista, Calif. (September 19, 2013) – The world's best BMX racers are preparing to visit the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., Sept. 27-28, for the fourth and final round of the 2013 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup Series.

The time trial superfinals will take place on Thursday, Sept. 27 and the Supercross finals will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28. Click here for more information, including a complete event schedule.

RIDERS TO WATCH

Dutch rider Jelle Van Gorkom will go into the final round as the men's overall standings leader. With first, second, and tenth place finishes in the first three rounds, Van Gorkom has collected 589 points and holds just a slight lead over American Connor Fields (Henderson, Nev./Chase/Monster) who is currently ranked second with 575 points after securing first, third, and eleventh place finishes earlier in the season.

In women's racing, spectators will definitely want to keep an eye on U.S. rider Arielle Martin (Spanway, Wash./Intense BMX) who is second in the standings with 523 points. The American has a second-place and two sixth-place finishes going into the final round on her home track. Other American women to be on the look-out for are Alise Post (St. Cloud, Minn./Redline USA) and Brooke Crain (Visalia, Calif.) who will head to Chula Vista ranked fifth and eight respectively.
