In order to create additional opportunities for American BMX athletes, USA Cycling will be offering several open training sessions at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California.

2014 Open Session Dates

  • Thursday, February 13
  • Thursday, February 20
  • Thursday, February 27
  • Thursday, March 6
  • Thursday, March 13
 

Practice Sessions for the 2014 Elite BMX Nationals & Continental Championships

The Beijing supercross track at the Chula Vista OTC will be open on March 27-28 for riders to train in preparation for the 2014 USA Cycling Elite BMX National Championships and the UCI North American Continental BMX Championships. The cost is $25 for one or both sessions on Thursday and Friday.

  • Thursday, March 27 — 9 a.m. to noon
  • Friday, March 28 — 9 a.m. to noon

In addition, there are limited practice times for registered riders on each day of competition.

  • Junior & Elite Women — 9:15-10 a.m.
  • Junior & Elite Men — 10-10:45 a.m.

How to Register

Riders will need to register and complete payment through their My USA Cycling account. Once you have signed in, click on the green Register for an Event button on your account page. You can either enter “BMX” in the Event Name field or choose "BMX Camps" in the Disciplines drop-down menu. Then click the Filter button to the right.

All the BMX events will be listed. Click on the open sessions link and follow the instructions.

Note: You must have an active, up-to-date USA Cycling license to register.

IMPORTANT

For those athletes who have not been to the Chula Vista U.S. Olympic Training Center in the past year, baseline concussion testing will need to take place. Please contact USOC Sports Medicine at (619) 482-6141 to schedule your tests. If you’re local, we recommend doing this prior to the day of training. Athletes without updated testing will not be allowed to ride on the Supercross track.
