Personal
Jennie graduated from Issaquah High School in 1996, where she participated in track and field. She went on to the University of Washington, helping her collegiate cycling team to take the 1996 Collegiate Track Cycling Championship.
Favorite Pastimes
In her spare time, Jennie enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and hanging out over a good coffee.
How They Got Here
Jennie began cycling with her sister, Laura. As early as 1994, she was racing to top finishes in national events. She came in first in the 2km time trial at the EDS Junior National Track Cycling Championship in 1994. By 1995 and 1996, Jennie competed with the U.S. Junior World Championship Team, and by 1997 was 37th in the UCI World Track Rankings and a member of the World Championship Team. She quickly moved through the ranks and found herself in 13th spot at the end of 1998. She has continued to progress and is now at the top of the U.S.women's rankings.
