| Introduction |
| Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski turned pro after a successful collegiate cycling career, and it was obvious from the start he had the makings of a champion. 2002 illustrated his ultimate arrival in the sport as he took the most coveted crown a U.S.National Championship. | | Personal | | A Denver native who recently graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Jeremy has a brother and sister. Everyone calls him JHK, and he lives in Boulder with his wife and fellow Subaru-Gary Fisher team member, Heather Irmiger. | | Favorite Pastimes | | When Jeremys not working his way toward championships, you might find him riding his motorcycle or working on his house. He also enjoys skiing and listening to his favorite music which includes electronica, techno, and hip-hop. | | How They Got Here | | JHK became interested in mountain biking on a week-long vacation with high school friends when he was 14. He began racing a lot in 1992 and 1993, and by 1995, he was competing in local races. His parents were encouraging, supportive, and excited about his new passion for mountain biking. He became involved with a junior racing team in California that supported riders in the Denver area. He began racing with the Devo team and stayed with them as a U-23. Embarking on a career with the University of Colorado Cycling team enabled JHK to win four collegiate national cross-country titles. | | Performance | 2006
