2012 Pro GRT and Pro UET bid applications now available

  
  


Bid applications for inclusion on the 2012 Pro Mountain Bike Gravity Tour (Pro GRT) and the 2012 Pro Mountain Bike Ultra-Endurance Tour (Pro UET) are now available for race directors.

Both applications include guidelines and criteria for event inclusion on their respective calendars, and must be postmarked no later than December 15, 2011.

Pro MTB Gravity Tour

The Pro GRT calendar includes the top downhill (DH) events in the country. Individual rider rankings will be offered for the Pro category. Gated events, such as dual slalom and four-cross (4X), may also be offered at events. In 2011, the Pro GRT included five events and ran from early April through late August. Cody Warren (Alpine, Calif./DRD X-Fusion Intense) and Jill Kintner (Ferndale, Wash./Transition Racing) topped the men’s and women’s pro standings, respectively.

Pro MTB Ultra-Endurance Tour

The Pro UET offers various disciplines of racing for endurance mountain bikers – this includes 6-hour, 24-hour, marathon and ultra-marathon events. Individual rider rankings will be offered for the Pro/Solo category. The 2011 Pro UET included four events stretching from March to August. Manuel Prado (Huntington Beach, Calif./Team Sho-Air) earned the men’s title while Pua Mata (Huntington Beach, Calif./Team Sho-Air) rode to first in the women’s standings.
